eIDAS

The eIDAS Regulation (Regulation (EU) 910/2014, with substantial 2024 revisions known as eIDAS 2.0) governs electronic identification, electronic signatures, and trust services in the EU. Qualified electronic signatures (QES) under eIDAS have legal effect equivalent to a handwritten signature throughout the EU.
