Data Sovereignty

Data sovereignty is the principle that data is subject to the laws and supervision of the country in which it is stored or processed. For European VDR procurement, sovereignty considerations push buyers toward EU/EEA hosting with EU contracting entities; for the most sensitive deals (state, defense, banking secrecy), self-hosting on sovereign infrastructure is the cleanest answer.
